Holi Special Trains From Pune And Mumbai: 30 Extra Routes To Key Cities, Reservation Starts Today

In preparation for the upcoming Holi festival, Central Railway has announced the operation of 30 additional special trains to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free journey for passengers, according to a Punekar report. These special trains will run on key routes, including Pune, Ghazipur, Danapur, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Samastipur, Kanniya Kumari, and Thiruvananthapuram, from March.

Pune - Danapur Bi-Weekly Special (Six Trips)

Train 01481 will depart Pune at 19:55 hrs on March 10, 14, and 17, arriving at Danapur at 05:00 hrs on the third day. Train 01482 will depart Danapur at 06:45 hrs on March 12, 16, and 19, arriving at Pune at 17:35 hrs the next day.
Composition: 1 AC 2-Tier, 7 AC 3-Tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, and 2 Luggage cum Guard's Brake Vans.

Pune - Ghazipur City Bi-Weekly Special (Eight Trips)

Train 01431 will depart Pune at 06:40 hrs on March 7, 11, 14, and 18, reaching Ghazipur City at 19:05 hrs the next day. Train 01432 will leave Ghazipur City at 04:20 hrs on March 9, 13, 16, and 20, arriving in Pune at 16:20 hrs the next day.
Composition: 1 AC 2-Tier, 7 AC 3-Tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, and 2 Luggage cum Guard's Brake Vans.

LTT-Samastipur Weekly Special (Four Trips)

Train 01043 will depart Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12:15 hrs on March 11 and 18, arriving in Samastipur at 21:15 hrs the next day. Train 01044 will leave Samastipur at 23:20 hrs on March 12 and 19, arriving at LTT at 11:00 hrs the following day.
Composition: 1 AC First Class, 3 AC-2 Tier, 15 AC-3 Tier, 1 Pantry Car, and 2 Luggage cum Brake Vans.

Pune - Hazrat Nizamuddin Weekly Superfast Special (Four Trips)

Train 01491 will depart Pune at 17:30 hrs on 7th and 14th March, reaching Hazrat Nizamuddin at 18:10 hrs the next day. Train 01492 will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin at 22:10 hrs on 8th and 15th March, arriving in Pune at 23:55 hrs the following day.
Composition: 1 AC 2-Tier, 4 AC 3-Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, and 2 Luggage cum Guard's Brake Vans.

CSMT - Kanniya Kumari Bi-Weekly Superfast Special (Four Trips)

Train 01005 will depart CSMT at 00:20 hrs on March 10 and 17, arriving in Kanniya Kumari at 12:15 hrs the next day. Train 01006 will leave Kanniya Kumari at 14:15 hrs on March 11 and 18, arriving at CSMT at 04:15 hrs the third day.
Composition: 2 AC-2 Tier, 9 AC-3 Tier, 5 Sleeper Class, 2 General Second Class, and 2 Luggage Cum Brake Vans.

LTT-Thiruvananthapuram Weekly Special (Four Trips)

Train 01063 will depart Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 16:00 hrs on March 6 and 13, arriving in Thiruvananthapuram North at 22:45 hrs the next day. Train 01064 will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 16:20 hrs on 8th and 15th March, reaching LTT at 00:45 hrs on the third day.
Composition: 1 AC-2 Tier, 6 AC-3 Tier, 9 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, 1 Luggage Cum Brake Van, and 1 Generator Car.

Train Reservations

Bookings for these special trains will open on March 01 at all computerised reservation centres and on the IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in. Passengers are advised to book early to secure their seats.
