Did An Astrologer Predict Ajit Pawar's Death? Viral Post Faces Netizen Backlash

As Maharashtra mourns over the untimely death of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, a viral post of an astrologer has gone viral.

In the post dated November 8, 2025, astrologer Prashanth Kini had claimed that a Chief Minister or Central Minister might be "perish" between December 2025 and February 2026.

The post read: "Some Indian veteran Politicians who once served as Chief Minister or Central Minister may perish in between December 2025 to February 2026...!!"

Following the death of Ajit Pawar, Kini has now claimed that he had predicted the death of the politician.

In his latest post, he wrote, "I have predicted one veteran Politician will die in between December 2025 to February 2026....!! Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister AJIT PAWAR died in a Air crash...!!"

The private jet, flying from Mumbai to Baramati, crash-landed at approximately 8:45 am at the threshold of the Baramati airport runway. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) confirmed the accident, noting the airport has a "table top runway". The plane crashed at the runway's edge during its landing attempt.

Tragically, all five individuals on board lost their lives. Alongside Ajit Pawar, the victims include his two accompanying personnel, a personal security officer, an attendant, and the two crew members piloting the aircraft.

Netizens Reaction

However, the netizens are questioning his prediction. One user asked, "But he was neither chief minister nor central one!!! Thodasa calculation bigda gya sir aapka."

The second user stated, "Its easy to say "some" .. if you are a so called expert astrologer you should told from which state the politician will be from."

Mocking his prediction, another netizen commented, "Bro, even Nostradamus would be shook."

Another user criticized Kini saying, "Why do you sound excited? It's not the kind of thing to celebrate. And should we now acknowledge you as a prophet?"

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolence on X.

In a post, he wrote, "Shri Ajit Pawar ji was a people's leader who had a strong bond with the people and a deep connection with the grassroots. He was widely respected as a hardworking personality who always remained at the forefront in the service of the people of Maharashtra. He had profound knowledge of administrative matters.

His passion for the empowerment of the poor and the deprived was particularly noteworthy. His untimely demise is extremely shocking and deeply saddening. Heartfelt condolences to his family and countless admirers. Om Shanti."
