BEST Launches A-84 Air-Conditioned Bus Route To Improve Mumbai Commuter Experience

BEST has unveiled a new air-conditioned bus route, A-84, enhancing Mumbai's public transport. This service will commence on Sunday, 7th September 2025, linking Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Chowk to Oshiwara Bus Depot via the coastal road. "The new route is of BEST's ongoing initiative to modernize its fleet by gradually adding new AC buses, many of which have already been introduced into service," stated a BEST official.

The newly launched Route A-84 aims to enhance commuter comfort and reduce travel time by connecting key areas in South and Western Mumbai through the coastal road. The bus will pass through significant stops like Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Churchgate Station), Worli Sea Face, and Mahim, among others. This route is designed to offer a convenient travel option for both daily commuters and occasional travelers.

Route Details and Timings

The first bus from Oshiwara Bus Depot departs at 7:15 AM, with the last one leaving at 5:20 PM. From Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Chowk, the initial departure is at 8:50 AM, while the final bus leaves at 7:15 PM. Buses will run every 40 to 45 minutes throughout the day, ensuring minimal waiting times for passengers.

The fare structure for this service is affordable, ranging from Rs 12 to Rs 50. This makes it accessible for a broad spectrum of commuters. The service operates every day of the week, providing a reliable travel option regardless of the day.
