Supreme Court issues notice to Vinayak Baliga murder accused
The RTI activist's family, in their petition, has claimed that bail to Shenoy was a threat to the family and witnesses in the high profile murder case
The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice to Naresh Shenoy accused in the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga. The slain RTI activist's family had approached the Supreme Court after Naresh Shenoy was granted bail by the Karnataka High Court.

The RTI activist's family, in their petition, has claimed that bail to Shenoy was a threat to the family and witnesses in the high profile murder case. "Our concern is that the investigation is not complete and so the accused cannot be let free on bail", the petitioner's advocate had told mediapersons in Mangaluru earlier.
RTI activist Vinayak Baliga was hacked to death near his residence in Mangaluru on March 21. Naresh Shenoy, the prime accused was arrested after he went missing for over 2 months following the murder.
