‘Revenge for Suhas Shetty’s Murder’: YouTube User Threatens More Deaths In Live Session

In the wake of the shocking murder of Bajrang Dal activist Suhas Shetty, another unsettling incident has surfaced. A threatening comment posted during a live YouTube session of News 18 channel has led to a new case being registered in connection with the incident.

The comment, made by a user under the name 'Mr Silent Lvr', stated, "Two days later, there will be another dead body in Mangaluru. It's certain, especially from the people of Kodikere, Surathkal." This provocative remark caught the attention of viewers and authorities alike, as it came at a time when communal tensions were already high following the brutal killing of Suhas Shetty.

Revenge for Suhas Shetty s Murder Alarming YouTube Comment Triggers Police Investigation

Recognising the gravity of the comment, the police acted swiftly, and a case was registered at Barke police station. The nature of the comment, seen as both threatening and inflammatory, prompted an urgent investigation. To ensure a thorough probe, the case was later transferred to the Mangaluru City CEN crime police station for further investigation.

After initial inquiries, the police were able to track down the identity of the person behind the comment. The accused was identified as Sachin, a 25-year-old resident of Surathkal, Mangaluru. Sachin is believed to be the individual who made the alarming remark during the live session.

Meanwhile, Hindu groups and the BJP are furious over the recent murders of their activists, with protests expected in the coastal region. The murder of Suhas Shetty has given the BJP further grounds to criticise the Congress-led state government for poor law and order and to rally support against Congress. The party aims to unite Hindu and BJP factions in the region and create an anti-Congress wave, accusing the government of being responsible for the deaths of Hindu youths.

In response, Congress leaders have been advised to stick to facts and avoid provocative statements. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has called a meeting with senior police officers next week to address the law-and-order situation and prevent further incidents, with plans to form a special task force.
