A Rationalist professor Narendra Nayak of Mangaluru has filed a police complaint citing threat to his life after a man was caught suspiciously lurking around his apartment two days ago.
The incident happened at Ladyhill here where an unidentified man was seen enquiring about Nayak with a security guard of his apartment. When the security guard grew suspicious, the man fled from the spot in no time.
According to News 18 report, Nayak said,''An alleged hit list prepared by Hindustan Times from 4 years ago put me on #7. I never asked for security myself. I was called by a commissioner a couple of years ago who told not to refuse the security, I will be provided.''
Nayak had earlier complained of a threat to his life in May 2017 after a motorist asked him to stop his car after indicating that his tyre had been punctured.
In May 2016, Nayak had also filed a complaint about threats to his life following his Facebook post related to murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga.
