Woman beaten to death over dowry in UP

Etah, July 13: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband over dowry in Dalelpur village here, police said today.

The victim Neelam's family alleged that her husband, Udaypal Singh, had demanded a motorcycle from them after the marriage in April this year.

He allegedly murdered the woman yesterday due to non fulfillment of the demand, police said. Udaypal and his family members fled after the incident yesterday. The victim's body has been sent for post-mortem.
