UPCC member accuses a party leader of plotting to kill him
Amethi, Jul 10: A Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) member Rajesh Pandey on Saturday accused a local party leader K L Sharma of plotting to kill him, a charge termed by Sharma as "baseless and false".
Pandey also wrote a letter to the prime minister demanding security to him and his family. Pandey, an Amethi resident and once close to Sharma, in his letter to PM claimed he has sufficient proof to prove his allegations.

Addressing mediapersons here Pandey said the copies of the letter (dated July 8) have been forwarded to Union Home Minister, National Human Rights Commission, Uttar Pardesh Chief Minister and DGP of the state.
When contacted Sharma, refuted the allegations as "false and baseless".
"The government can inquire against me. Pandey's allegations against me are totally false and baseless. I will file defamation suit against him in this regard," he told PTI.
