UP shocker: Girl raped, denied medical assistance by hospital

Lucknow, April 5: A girl was repeatedly raped in a field near her house in Lakhimpur district. When the rape victim was admitted to a government hospital, shockingly she was refused stretcher.

According to reports, the girl was profusely bleeding and was crying in pain, but no one at the hospital heard her painful screams and chose to ignore her plight.

A policeman and her family members were carrying her in their lap.

Senior district officers took note of the case and ordered an inquiry.

The District Magistrate was quoted saying as, "We have asked the Chief Medical Officer to look into the issue with required medical attention."
