UP: IAS officer Sarvesh Chandra Misra suspended for wrong letter
Mishra, who was the Home Secretary of Uttar Pradesh before the was suspended, is accused of mentioning misleading content on the issue.
"Secretary Mishra mentioned a wrong and extremely misleading subject on a disputed issue in the letter regarding a meeting to be chaired by the Principal Secretary (Home) on October 14," an official statement said.
Mishra to be with Revenu Board during suspension period
The statement also read that Mishra's act lead to confusion and sent out a completely wrong message among people. He was suspended from his post with immediate effect and a departmental inquiry will be initiated against him, the statement said.
Mishra meanwhile will be attached to the Revenue Board during the suspension period.
The government had transferred Mishra and suspended Prem Kumar Pandey, section officer of the home department in he wake of the letter.
