Unnao molestation video goes viral, 2 arrested

Unnao, July 6: Unnao Police has arrested two men on Friday in connection with molesting a girl and making the video of the incident. Search for the third culprit is underway.

Anoop Singh, SP, North Unnao, said, "Police have arrested two men Rahul and Akash. Search for other is underway. In the video, the victim was seen pleading with the men, "Bhaiyya aisa mat karo". The men continued their act and threatened to make the video clip viral," reported NDTV.

The woman is manhandled and dragged into the forests by the men who ignore her cries of "Bhaiyya, mat karo (please spare me)". The men abuse her, threaten to beat her with slippers and one shouts: "We will make this video viral".

One of the accused named Rahul revealed that the woman was sitting in the park with a friend and they then forcefully took her to a secluded forest area in order to rape her.

Unnao had recently hit the headlines, when its MLA, Kuldeep Sengar, was arrested last month by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the charges of raping a minor. Now, the molestation incident, puts a big question mark on women's safety in Uttar Pradesh.
