Two young men harass Dalit girl: Police
Etah (UP), May 24: Two young men harassed a Dalit girl here and tried to kidnap her, police said today.
The accused Guddoo and Amit forcibly held the girl while she was returning from a field after relieving herself on Saturday, they said, adding the men fled the spot on seeing the villagers who gathered after hearing her screams.
Later, the accused went to her house and opened fire, police said. However, no one was hurt in the firing, they said.
An FIR was lodged yesterday against them on charges of attempting to kidnap, harassment and firing, police said, adding no arrest has been made yet.
