Three killed, 18 injured in road mishap in UP

Etawah (UP), Oct 4: Three persons were today killed and 18 others injured when a roadways bus collided with a truck on National Highway 2 in Ekdil area here, police said.

"The incident took place late last night when the bus driver Riyaz (35) tried to overtake the truck, resulting in his death. Two passengers Vikram Singh (24) and Mansi (75) also died on the spot," Circle Officer Raghvendra Singh said.

The 18 injured people have been rushed to a hospital where their condition was stated to be stable, he said, adding a probe is on in the matter.
