SP MLA Devendra Pratap Singh joins BJP
Lucknow, Nov 3: Samajwadi Party (SP) member in Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council Devendra Pratap Singh on Tuesday joined BJP along with his supporters.
He joined the party in the presence of BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai and other leaders at the party headquarters.

Singh's term will expire in November next year. Former MLC S P Singh and leaders of other parties also joined BJP on the occasion.
Welcoming the incumbents, Bajpai said that their entry would further strengthen the party.
"Earlier, MLC Singh used to fight against the government inside the house, now he will struggle with us, which will sharpen our attack," he said.
After joining BJP, Devendra Pratap Singh accused Akhilesh Yadav government of corruption and being insensitive towards the issues of youths.
"There is corruption in the name of recruitment in the government, which is crushing the dreams of youths. I made the CM aware of this on many occasion, but the government remained insensitive," he alleged.
On being asked that why he opted for BJP Singh said, "It is the only party which is fighting against the planned corruption and jungle raj of Akhilesh government." He termed Akhilesh to be an "accidental CM".
"He is not a political person and is the weakest CM in the history of the state," he alleged.
