Sonia Gandhi to visit Rae Bareli today

, Oct 8: Congress President

will be on a one-day visit to her parliamentary constituency of Rae Bareli on Tuesday.

"Congress president (Gandhi) will reach Gora Bazar in the morning, after which she will lay foundation stone of city resource centre of housing and urban poverty alleviation ministry," party leader Akhilesh Pratap Singh said.

Sonia will lay foundation of the forged wheel plant at a rail coach factory

Gandhi will also preside over a meeting of the central vigilance and monitoring committee and later, she will lay foundation stone of the forged wheel plant at Rail Coach Factory in Lalganj besides addressing a public meeting.

The plant is being set up with the assistance of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi visited his constituency Amethi on Monday and laid the foundation of a mega food park in Jagadishpur. He said the farmers are suffering due to problems inthe food supply chain and there is a need to ensure better compensation to them against their produce.
