Rapes, molestation, murder: Atrocities continue on women in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, June 5: Looks like

is not done yet with the crimes on women of this state.

After the Badaun gangrape which has been condemned by the entire world, the incidents have not stopped here.

A completely burnt body of a 25-year-old woman was found in Harinamkheda village, police said today.

The body of the woman was found in some bushes yesterday, Superintendent of Police Ratan Kumar Srivastava said. The body has been sent for postmortem. Police is trying to ascertain the identity of the woman.

Rapes continue

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped at gunpoint by a youth at her house in Khubbapur village in the district, police said today.

The girl's mother lodged a complaint with the police alleging that the youth Pankaj Kumar raped the girl when she was alone in the house and threatened to kill her if she reported the matter to police.

A case has been registered against the accused who is absconding.
