Rahul, Kejriwal can hold roadshows; Varanasi has made up its mind: BJP

on Saturday, the BJP on Friday claimed its right on the holy city.

According to a report, BJP senior leader Ravi Shankar Prasad in Varanasi said, "Rahul Gandhi and Kejriwal can hold an air show... a road show... but Varanasi has made up its mind."

On Friday, Narendra Modi held a massive roadshow in Varanasi and said, "A film just showed you how the Sabarmati was transformed. We will do the same for the Ganga."

"I have come to you with one agenda and that is development. Except development there is nothing on my agenda. I am not interested in allegations and abuses. I have come here for development. Modi is not merely your candidate. We have developed a very strong bond already", he further said.

Earlier while filing his nomination from Varanasi, Modi had asserted that he was invited by "Maa Ganga".

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal also held a huge roadshow today in Varanasi. He said, "We will win with a record margin and Narendra Modi will lose his deposit."

On asking him that he was termed as an outsider in Varanasi, he said, "Toh Modiji yahan kaunse muhallah mein rehte hai (In which area does Modiji live here?). Even he is not from here. I am not an outsider, I am an Indian."

The campaigning in Varanasi ends on May 10, Saturday and elections wil be held on May 12, the last phase of nine-phased elections.

Narendra Modi, Arvind Kejriwal and Congress's Ajay Rai are in the fray from the Holy City, that has already witnessed a high octane poll battle in the past few weeks.
