Narendra Modi is anti-farmer, interested only in foreign tours: Jairam Ramesh
Lucknow, April 8: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi all set to embark on his foreign trip to France, Canada and Germany from April 9 to 16, Congress has hit out at the PM saying that he is interested only in his foreign tours.
Congress minister Jairam Ramesh said on Tuesday that Modi was more interested in his foreign tours than visiting the rain-hit farmers in the country.

Ramesh alleged that Modi government without doubt was anti-poor and anti-farmers.
Opposing the NDA's Land Ordinance, Ramesh said: "Congress President Sonia Gandhi visited the affected farmers in Punjab, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh but the PM's mind is on his tour of France, Germany and Canada.
When such calamities hit farmers, the UPA governmentannounced a relief package immediately . The NDA government though has done nothing," he said.

Though there is no official word, but news reports suggest that a big event will be held in Canada for Narendra Modi where he will be addressing the Indian community. The event will be similar to the one held in Madison Square Garden, USA where Modi addressed the Indo- American community last year.
