More trouble for Akhilesh Yadav as cops are caught beating women

Lucknow, Jan 14: Goondraj prevailed in Akhilesh Yadav's government and this time it wasn't any unruly mob, but the men in khahi themselves who took on helpless women.

The state Police was seen beating up women protestors on Monday night in Firozabad. According to reports, the women were protesting against an accident at NH-2.

The copes then lathicharged them and to clear the high way. In some channels the video footage shows the men, beating up the women with sticks, slapping them and even kicking them.

Police officials including the SHO Prakash Yadav were seen slapping women and charging at women with their lathis to clear the way.

The NCW chief said that she would demand strict action against the erring officials. Sharma blamed government and the police department's insensitive attitude for such action against women.

NCW chairperson Mamta Sharma said that she would speak to the Police Commissioner and demanded strict action against the officials.
