Lucknow brutal rape & murder case solved; hospital's security guard arrested

The accused Ram Sewak Yadav, who works as a security guard at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) has been arrested in this connection, the officer said.
Sutapa Sanyal, ADG on Mohanlalganj rape case today said, "accused has been identified,too much of hard work put in by UP police helped in solving case".
She also said that the heinous crime was not a gangrape, but a "one man operation".
The incident came to light on July 17 when the nude body of the woman was spotted near a primary school in Balsingh Khera village of Mohanlalganj tehsil by a watchman.
He informed the police around 6.30 am. The area where the body was recovered is in the vicinity of Jabrauli village where tight security arrangements had been made in view of former United State President Bill Clinton's visit.
Yesterday, police had detained three people in connection with the case including Yadav, who reportedly confessed to have committed the crime 'alone'.
The accused is said to be a resident of BalSingh Kheda village in Lucknow.
Victim's family demands CBI probe
Victim's father has reportedly demanded for a CBI probe into her daughter's brutal rape and murder and has also demanded that the strictest punishment should be given to the culprits.
He has also said that if needed, he will appeal to the highest court, to ensure justice for her daughter's murder.
Victim's last rites were performed on late night Friday in Delhi, in presence of her family members.
On Saturday, while taking a strong view of henious rape and murder of the woman, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav took stock of the investigations and had directed the officials to solve the case at the earliest.
The Chief Minister said that State Government was very serious in solving this tragic and unfortunate incident and exposing the culprits, an official spokesman said.
"Akhilesh has announced a financial assistance of Rs ten lakhs besides taking up educational expenditure of the two children of the deceased woman, who was in her early 30s", the spokesman said.
