Lok Sabha polls: BSP chief Mayawati woos Dalits supporters

Mayawati tries to woo Dalits supporters
Lucknow, April 19: Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati is trying all tricks and tactics to get the maximum votes this election season.

Mayawati recently in a rally, where a lot of Muslims and Brahmins were present, appealed to her Dalit supporters and said that they must not think of the candidates that the party has fielded but only her when they go out to vote. She asked them to vote for "your Behenji. Dalit varg ki beti (dalit's daughter)".

She said that if the party wins the seats in the state, it would not be a Muslim's or a Brahmin's victory it would be 'Mayawati's victory.'

"I would like to tell our Dalit supporters of Kanpur that whether these candidates come to your area seeking your votes or not, but you have to vote for BSP thinking that you are fighting this election for your Behenji.

She added that the public had to strenghten the party so that even a Dalit could become the Prime Minister.
