Girl made to unbotton jeans in presence of BJP MP

Lucknow, May 6: BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj courted yet another controversy after a viral video showed the jeans of a young girl being unbuttoned in the presence of the former.

The parliamentarian from Unnao in UP went to the house of a BJP worker Maidan Singh in his constituency following a police raid in which some members of the family, including the girl, were allegedly injured. The police raid took place in connection with illicit liquor trade.

There, the girl was made to unbutton her jeans in the presence of the MP and many people and cameras to show her injuries. The girl was visibly embarassed with what was being done to her.The incident faced flak on social media.

However, some reports said the main controversy was that Maharaj allegedly threatened to shoot the policemen who raided Singh's residence.

Later, a complaint was filed against Sakshi and he was booked under sections 153, 506 and 505 1(b) of the Indian Penal Code.
