in the past 24 hours, the toll from the disease in the eastern Uttar Pradesh has reached 377, health officials said on Friday.

As many as 22 fresh encephalitis patients have been admitted to BRD Medical College Hospital and adjoining government hospitals during the period, they said.

With this, a total of 1,861 encephalitis patients have been admitted, of which 377 have died, the officials said.
