Controversial poster: Now Mayawati turns 'Goddess Kali' to fight for rights of dalits
Lucknow, April 25: Even though Uttar Pradesh assembly elections are scheduled to take place next year, the parties have already started to gear up for the high-voltage elections in the hindi hinterland.
The latest eyebrow raising poll gimmick that is doing the rounds in UP is a highly controversial poster, depicting BSP supremo Mayawati as Hindu Goddess Kali with a chopped head of HRD minister Smriti Irani in her hand.

The poster even goes on to the extent, where Mayawati has put one of her foot over RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and it also portrays PM Narendra Modi standing with folded hands in front of Maywati.
The caption of the poster says, "Bahenji hame maaf karo, hum aarakshan band nahi karenge" (Behenji, please pardon us, we won't stop reservation.)
Like Goddess Kali's avatar, Mayawati is also seen wearing a garland of chopped heads, with blood dripping from them.
The objectionable posters and hoardings appeared in Sadabad area of Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh. The shocking posters bored the name of Shilpi and Dhruv Singh Kardam.
