District Magistrate Abhishek Prakash said the bus with 96 passengers on board was going to Delhi from Bahraich when the driver lost control and the vehicle fell into the ditch. The injured were admitted to the hospital. The condition of some of the injured people was critical, hospital sources said.

The DM and top police officers rushed to the spot.
