BJP MP seeks central intervention in UP
New Delhi, July 27: A BJP member in the Lok Sabha today demanded central intervention in Uttar Pradesh alleging mass exodus of people of the majority community from parts of the state in the wake of "collapse" of the law and order situation.
Raising the issue in zero hour, Aaditya Nath expressed concern over the alleged migration, saying Uttar Pradesh was witnessing a situation similar to that witnessed in the Kashmir valley in the late eighties.

He claimed that such migration was being witnessed from Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Kairana and Aligarh.
He said that central intervention is needed in Uttar Pradesh to take stern action against the elements responsible for the exodus as the local administration was "inactive".
Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are scheduled early next year.
