Akhilesh: Such incidents happen in other states, media doesn't highlight those

Two weeks after two Dalit sisters were gangraped and hanged in Badaun, UP, Akhilesh Yadav said that the media was focussing only on Uttar Pradesh and ignoring other states. "Media must Google such incidents also," he said.
Akhilesh in his defence made a bizarre statement saying "If you go online you will find such cases are reported in other states too."
He said that the UP government had taken actions against such incidents in the state. "Decision on a CBI inquiry has been taken also," he said.
Akhilesh has been receiving a lot of flak as his government is unable to control incidents of crime against women in the state. In the past two weeks more than five such cases have come to light.
