Akhilesh Yadav blames Centre for power crisis in UP

Power Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday hit back at Akhilesh Yadav's government, saying "UP government must buy power from the Centre. There is no shortage of power."
Goyal said that it was easy to blame others. "I urge the UP CM to stop making excuses," he said.
Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday had blamed the Centre for the massive power cuts in the state. Yadav, in a statement had said, "UP is only getting 4200 MW instead of 6002 MW from the Centre. The state should get enough amount of electricity from the Centre. Due to less supply of coal from Coal India, power crisis is growing in the state."
Parts of UP facing upto 10-hours power cuts
Meanwhile the BJP alleged that the Samajwadi Party was extracting the price of its defeat in the Lok Sabha election from the people in the form of power cuts and even said that the government was not doing enough to manage the situation.
Several areas including Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Noida are suffering from power outrage.
