Akhilesh, Mulayam sticker on SP laptop inside polling booth sparks row

Lucknow, May 12: After Congress candidate Ajay Rai created controversy by flaunting his party symbol inside the

premises, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister

also embroiled himself into fresh trouble as his party's laptop with his sticker was found inside a polling booth on Monday.

The SP laptop with Akhilesh and party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav was found inside Chandauli polling booth, that stirred a huge controversy.

The BJP has demanded strict and immediate action against the guilty.

Meanwhile, UP's Chief Electoral Officer Umesh Sinha has said the strict action will be taken into the matter. The District Magistrate has also been informed about the violation of norms.

The ruling- Samajwadi Party (SP) laptop bearing Akhilesh's picture over it is being seen as a serious case of the violation of the Model Code of Conduct as the polling is taking place in Uttar Pradesh in 18 seats including high-profile Varanasi seat, in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections.

Mulayam is testing his fate in Muslim-dominated Azmagarh district against BJP's Ramakant Yadav and BSP's Shah Alam alias Guddu Jamali.
