ABVP protests against women harassment in UP

Lucknow, Apr 12: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyathi Parishad's members today staged a protest demonstration here against "women harassment" in the state.

Carrying placards, the students assembled at Patrivatan Chowk and attempted to take out a foot-march towards Raj Bhawan to submit a memorandum to the Governor.

They, however, were prevented from marching ahead with police putting up barricades at K D Singh Babu stadium.

The agitating students also entered into a minor scuffle with the police.

Later, they submitted the memorandum, addressed to the Governor and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, with the local administration.
