9 killed in vehicle collision due to dense fog in UP

The Lucknow-bound bus dashed against the jeep in Chokaghat area in Varanasi, claiming the lives of nine passengers in the jeep, they said.

Barabanki (UP), Feb 1: Nine persons were killed and six others injured on Wednesday when a state-run bus hit a jeep near here due to poor visibility because of dense fog, police said.

The Lucknow-bound bus dashed against the jeep in Chokaghat area in Varanasi, claiming the lives of nine passengers in the jeep, they said. Six others injured in the mishap were hospitalised, police added.
