  • 1 pound (450 g) bacon, diced
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1½ cups brown sugar

  1. Soak dry beans overnight. Alternatively, use 4 cans of cooked beans.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.

  5. Add water from the soaked beans or fresh water to barely cover the beans. Canned beans may need less water.
