Kerala CM injured in stone-pelting from Left protesters

The chief minister, however, went ahead to attend the programme before receiving a medical treatment. Though the injuries were not major, it exposed the lapse in the security arrangement for the chief minister. The state police couldn't prevent such an awkward incident despite the presence of all top officers at the venue.
The Left protesters were waving black flag over the solar scam
Hundreds of CPI(M) and other parties of the Left Democratic Front assembled at the programme venue on Sunday to protest against the CM, seeking his resignation over the solar scandal. CPI(M) central committee member P K Sreemathi and Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan were present during the protests.
Two CPI(M) activists were held after the stone-pelting incident.
