2 arrested for disrespecting National Flag in Kerala
Malappuram, Aug 17: Police arrested two persons in Perinthalmanna for disrespecting the National Flag.
Two person named Aravindan and Ratheesh tying BJP flag below the Tricolor on the same pole.
The police arrested them for disrespecting the National Flag.
They were booked under under Section VII of Prevention of Insults to National Honour (Amendment) Act, 2003.
This Act is widely applied in all cases where a case of insult to National Honor, through disrespect to National Symbols, is reported, public or not, as well as intentional or otherwise.
