ETV Bangla poll 2016: Trinamool may win 201 seats, Left 34, Congress 27
Kolkata, March 9: An opinion poll carried by ETV Bangla on the upcoming Assembly election in West Bengal predicted a landslide victory of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC).
As per the survey, Mamata Banerjee's party is expected to win 201 of the 294 seats in the Assembly with a cent per cent record in capital Kolkata (the TMC is predicted to win all 11 Assembly seats in the city).

The Left and the Congress, which have reached an understanding for this year's election to defeat Banerjee's TMC, are expected to win 34 and 27 seats, respectively.
The BJP is expected to win one seat while others could win three seats.
Results in 28 seats could not be predicted by the survey.
The TMC-led alliance including the Congress had won 227 seats in the 2011 Assembly election. The Left had won 40 seats.
Bengal will go to a seven-phase election between April 4 and May 5. The results will be announced on May 19.
