The chief minister cancelled her appearance in a rally organised by the TMC here on Monday.
Shah threw a direct challenge to Banerjee at the rally, saying his arrival in the state was aimed at overthrowing the corrupt TMC regime. He said Banerjee could see him standing at the rally, in reply to her indirect barb at Shah, asking who he was.
Shah accused Banerjee of creating obstacles in the way of investigation by the National Investigation Agency in the recent blast in Burdwan. He also said funds of Saradha chit fund were being used in the Burdwan blast but probe was being disrupted to shield TMC leaders allegedly involved in the blast.
