Cricketer Ankit Keshri died because of medical negligence, alleges family
Kolkata, May 21: The family of Ankit Keshri, the young cricketer who died in a hospital after colliding with a team-mate while fielding during a first-class match here, has lodged a complaint with the police alleging that Keshri's death was caused by medical negligence. Keshri sustained a serious injury and passed away in a hospital here on April 20. Keshri, Bengal's U-19 cricket captain, collided with Sourav Mandal while taking a catch in the match against Bhowanipore Club in a CAB knock-out tournament. The 19-year-old cricketer collapsed on the spot and was rushed to the hospital. He suffered a heart attack.
