Kanpur, Oct 19: Urging the countrymen to remove Congress from power, Modi said, They divided nation, parties, castes, their task is to break. To take nation ahead we need to integrate not divide."

"We are seeking your support in the name of development. We want to take the nation to newer heights," added Modi and also asserted, "Government is for the poor. It is for the welfare of the poor."

Modi slams 'guilty' PM over Coalgate controversy:
Manmohan Singh has become the latest victim at Modi's hand. The Gujarat CM criticised the PM over Coalgate controversy."The shadow of the coal scam is on Kanpur also. This pollution in Kanpur is that of coal," said Modi.

Speaking about the latest development in Coalgate scam case, Modi said, "An officer is saying if I am guilty then PM is guilty too. Have we heard such things for any PM? They say file is lost."

"Not only file but the entire government is lost. There is no trace of any government," he added while cracking joke on Congress-led UPA government.

Congress is befooling you with new Bills and laws, says Modi in Kanpur:
Without taking Congress' two life lines -- Food Security Bill and Land Acquisition Bill, Modi claimed that Congress-led UPA has been befooling the countrymen by passing new bills and laws.

He claimed that Congress has been trying to hide their corruptions by such new laws passed by cabinet recently. Modi said, Nation wants answers from you 9Congress) on corruption. All the time you say we made the law. Then what did Babasaheb Ambedkar has done for the country?"

Take power from 'arrogant' Sonia, Rahul away, says Modi in Kanpur:
After Rajnath Singh, Modi started his speech amid huge applause for him. Speaking about inflation and poverty, Modi showed how Congress has failed to fulfill the promises which were mentioned in Congress' previous manifesto.

Calling UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and her son and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi "self-centered and arrogant", Modi asked common men to take their power away by casting vote for BJP.

Rajnath mocks at Mulayam for his fear for Congress powered by CBI:
Directing his criticism his former Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, Rajnath urged him to contribute to the 'real progress" of the state.

Speaking about several CBI cases against Mulayam and his party leaders, Rajnath said that Mulayam has been supporting UPA government from outside as he is 'scared of Congress who is empowered by CBI.' The BJP President chided, "now when all CBI cases have been withdrawn against you (Mulayam), please withdraw your support to UPA and develop Uttar Pradesh."

Rajnath hits out at Manmohan Singh for his meeting with Pakistan PM:
Hurling attack at prime minister Manmohan Singh for his meeting with Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif in New York, Rajnath claimed that the central government should provide special privileges to our soldiers who fight at borders to save the country.

Recalling multiple ceasefires at the Line of Control (LoC) and Pakistan's atrocities shown on our soldiers, Rajnath asserted that Manmohan Singh should have sent a strong message to our neighbouring country by rejecting to meet Sharif during his US visit.

Modi welcomed by human-wave, lakhs gather at Kanpur rally venue:
Modi along with BJP President Rajnath Singh and other crucial leaders of the state reached the venue. At least lakh people gathered at the venue to get a glimpse of BJP's star campaigner.

According to media reports, a pair of snakes made of silver has been buried in the rally ground in the posh Indira Nagar area of Kanpur from where Modi will begin his campaigns in Uttar Pradesh for Lok Sabha elections.

It has been reported that BJP tried to "keep away evil forces" after burying those snakes. Massive arrangements have been made for the rally in Kanpur. The party workers and leaders in the state consulted well-known astrologers and also took care of Vastu. Recognised Vaastu experts have been consulted for finalizing the design of the stage's that's 100 feet long and 30 feet wide, added media reports.

Who is Kalyan Singh who adds more value to Modi's rally:
Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh, who had parted ways with the BJP twice in the past, is all set to share the dais with Modi on Saturday.

Singh, who has been invited to BJP's rally in Kanpur as the chief guest, is expected to play a major role in today's function. With Kalyan-Modi union, it can be said that it may "work wonders" for BJP in the general elections next year, as their show of unity will definitely "slow down the cycle speed" of the ruling-Samajwadi Party, which has already earned the ire of the people of the state for recent communal violence in Muzaffarnagar district and adjoining areas.

Narendra Modi to reach Kanpur shortly:
Prime Ministerial candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -- Narendra Modi is expected to reach kanpur by 1:00 pm. BJP has organised a mega rally in the city where Modi will kick off his campaigning in the state for upcoming Lok Sabha election which is expected to be held in 2014.

This will be Modi's first visit to the state ever since his elevation in the party as its PM nominee. His close aide Amit Shah, BJP President Rajnath Singh, opposition leader in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley and many others will share dais with Modi.
