Woman Killed After Man Runs Over Her And Friend In Jaipur | Video

A tragic and distressing incident was reported on Wednesday from Jaipur's Malviya Nagar area, where a car intentionally ran over a 19-year-old woman resulting in her death and inflicted injuries upon her friend, aged 28. The video footage reveals an attempt to crush a young man and a girl outside a hotel using a car, resulting in the tragic loss of the girl's life and injuring the young man. The victims have been identified as Rajkumar and Uma Suthar, while the accused has been identified as Mangesh.

According to the reports, at around 11 pm on Tuesday, all three individuals got engaged in a heated argument. It all started when Mangesh was having drinks with his girlfriend, and subsequently passed a remark about Uma, to which, Rajkumar objected and got engaged in a fistfight with Mangesh outside the hotel.

The video further shows that Mangesh left the spot for a few minutes, and returned in his car. He can be seen deliberately trying to run the car over Rajkumar and Uma.

According to the reports, the Jaipur Police has filed a case against the accused under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 302 (murder) and 307 (attempt to murder) and the probe is underway. The police is also examining the CCTV footage of the incident to know exactly what happened.

Hitting out at the newly elected Rajasthan government led by CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, NSUI leader Abhishek Choudhary, along with the video on the micro-blogging site X, said, "Jungle Raj has started in Rajasthan. Criminals are committing crimes without fear, and the blind government is running only on paper. Why is the young man who fearlessly ran a car over a girl in the capital still out of police custody?"

He also tagged the Jaipur police in the post to demand justice at the earliest.
