Security beefed up for Narendra Modi's Jaipur rally

Jaipur, Sept 10: Security was beefed up at Amroodon-ka-bagh here ahead of a mega rally of Gujarat Chief Minister and chief of the BJP's 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign committee on Tuesday. The rally will kick off the BJP's campaign for the assembly elections due to a few months.

Sources in the BJP said Modi will land at Sanganer Airport here around 11 am where he will be welcomed by state BJP president Vasundhara Raje. National president Rajnath Singh will also address the rally, which is expected to see the participation of around five lakh people.

Three separate routes have been reportedly finalised to take Modi to the venue

Three routes have been finalised to take Modi to the ground for security reasons and the actual one hasn't been revealed, said a report. Modi is expected to reach the venue by 1 am and the speech by key speakers will start around 1.30 pm. Twenty-six important leaders of the party, including Singh and Raje, will be present on the occasion.

Around 1,500 VIP passes have been issued for the event. Separate blocks have also been created to accommodate the audience. Party workers had been instructed to encourage people across the society to attend the rally.
