Asaram and his aide's judicial custody extended till October 11

Jaipur, Sept 30: Controversial godman Asaram will remain in jail after a court here on Monday extending his judicial

by 14 days.

Both Asaram and his aide Shiva's judicial custody has been extended till October 11.

Asaram, who was arrested on September 1 for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl in his ashram, had requested the magistrate to allow his doctor to visit him in jail. However, the magistrate refused to comment on the issue in the absence of the defence counsel.

Asaram's arrest followed an FIR filed by the girl alleging she was sexually assaulted by him at his Jodhpur ashram. He has denied the charges.

Though he cleared all the medical and potency tests and was declared "healthy" enough to commit such act.
