US Presidential Election: Face-off between Mike Pence, Tim Kaine begins; #VPDebate trends
It's the time for the vice-presidential nominees from both the Republican and Democratic parties to take the centre stage as the election fever sweeps across the United States.
The US vice-presidential debate between Republican vice-presidential nominee Governor Mike Pence and Democratic vice-presidential nominee Senator Tim Kaine was hosted at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia on Tuesday.

The vice-presidential debate trended on Twitter. Both the Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, watched and simultaneously tweeted about #VPDebate. Here we bring you few tweets:

Who won the #VPDebate?
It is too early to declare the winner, as poll pundits are seriously breaking their heads to come to a conclusion. According to The Atlantic, Pence may have soothed some Trump supporters, but he was blunt and combative. And Kaine's performance was less than inspiring.

#VPDebate Fact-Check
The Guardian did a detailed analysis on what both Pence and Kaine said during the debate. Even the reporters of The New York Times fact-checked the statements made by Senator Kaine and Governor Pence during Tuesday's vice-presidential debate.
