US: Nature's fury unleashed at Cleveland Metro station
Washington, June 22: Several trains bypassed the Metro station in Cleveland Park on Tuesday after flash floods caused flooding inside the station.
MetroRail Info tweeted: "Red Line: Trains are temporarily bypassing Cleveland Park due to a weather related escalator outage/flooding. Shuttle buses requested."

Meanwhile, several videos and images made it to social media highlighting the situation at the station. In some videos water was seen cascading down the steps.
An official said that the station was prone to flooding since it is situated at the bottom of the hill. "We're dealing with essentially a flash flooding situation where the water flooded the street, came over the curb and cascaded down the escalator," she said. "You can't control mother nature."

Meanwhile, officers-goers waded they way through the flooded station. Trains services returned to normal after officials said that the situation was in control.
