US proposes tougher sanctions on North Korea
Washington, Feb 26: Responding to North Korea's recent nuclear test and missile launch, US and China submitted a draft resolution to the UN Security Council to impose tougher sanctions on North Korea.
A vote in this regard expected to take place at the weekend.

"It would be the strongest set of sanctions imposed by the Security Council in more than 20 years," said the US ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power.
In January this years, North Korea successfully conducted hydrogen bomb test and later in February launch of a long-range rocket were widely condemned as a flagrant violation of UN resolutions by the country.
