In a significant stride towards environmental responsibility, Mauro Gianetti, CEO and Team Principal of UAE Team Emirates, addressed attendees at the COP28 event held in Dubai, revealing the cycling team's ambitious target to go net-zero by the year 2030. As the first Professional Cycling Team to attain Carbon Neutrality—a milestone reached at the culmination of the 2023 season—the team has positioned itself as a pioneer in the realm of sustainable sports.

Gianetti, sharing insights at the FAB Pavilion, emphasized that the inception of UAE Team Emirates was always intended to go beyond the scope of competitive cycling to become an agent of positive transformation.
