UAE marks 44th National Day

Abu Dhabi, Dec 2: The United Arab Emirates celebrated its 44th National Day on Wednesday as a day embodying the spirit of the union.

The UAE, established as a federation on December 2, 1971, today ranks among the world's leading nations across several key indicators.

The country enjoys a prestigious position in the Arab world and beyond due to its significant achievements in various fields and its strong presence in all political, diplomatic, economic and humanitarian arenas on regional and international levels.

The United Arab Emirates is a country located on the southeast end of the Arabian peninsula on the Persian Gulf.

Established on December 2, 1971, the country is a federation of seven emirates. The constituent emirates are capital Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain.
