Twitter Co-Founder Jack Dorsey Endorses Robert F. Kennedy Jr. For US President
In a significant move in the political landscape, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has officially endorsed Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Democratic Party candidate, for the position of US President. Dorsey expressed his support for Kennedy Jr. by sharing and commenting on an interview clip from Fox News where Kennedy Jr. stated his belief that he could defeat Trump and DeSantis in the 2024 presidential race.
Quote-tweeting the clip, Dorsey wrote,''He can and will''.

When a Twitter user asked him whether he was endorsing Kennedy or just predicting, Dorsey replied, Both.
Another user commented that the DNC would never allow Kennedy to become the Democratic nominee. ''True but they seem to be more irrelevant by the day,'' Mr Dorsey replied.
According to the Independent, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination in April and recently embarked on his first campaign trail. At his campaign launch event in Massachusetts in April 2023, Kennedy Jr. pledged to bridge the deep political divisions in the United States by prioritizing honesty and transparency in his interactions with the American people.
Notably, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is an environmental lawyer and a prominent anti-vaccine advocate. He is also recognized as the nephew of former US President John F. Kennedy, while his father, commonly referred to as "RFK," served as the Attorney General under President John F. Kennedy and later became a US senator from New York. Kennedy Jr. is married to renowned actress Cheryl Hines, known for her role in the sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Kennedy Jr., who has spent decades advocating for environmental causes, gained notoriety in 2005 for promoting conspiracy theories linking vaccines to the development of autism. In 2021, his Instagram account was blocked by the platform for spreading misinformation about COVID-19 and vaccines. However, on Sunday, Instagram restored his account following his active involvement as a presidential candidate. Andy Stone, a spokesperson for Meta, the parent company of Instagram, stated that they had restored access to Kennedy Jr.'s Instagram account now that he is an official candidate for the US presidency.
In the latest Fox News national poll conducted for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination race, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. garnered 16% support. However, incumbent President and fellow Democrat Joe Biden maintained a strong lead with 62% support among Democratic voters.
As Kennedy Jr. continues his campaign trail, his endorsement from Jack Dorsey and his ongoing efforts to communicate his vision for the country will undoubtedly shape the upcoming Democratic presidential nomination race, contributing to the wider discourse surrounding the 2024 US presidential election.
