Turkey: Gunman holds several people hostage in Istanbul hospital

An gunman has held several people, including doctors, hostage at Istanbul's Cerrahpasa hospital, said reports.

Reports say that the armed is a psychiatric patient, who first attempted to committ suicide, but is now holding employees of the hospital hostage.

The said man is holding hostages in the first floor of the hospital. Other patients and staff of the hospital have been evacuated.

Police have rushed to the spot to take control of the situation.
