Trump taunts New York Times over Kim’s denuclearisation condition
US President Donald Trump taunted the New York Times in a late night tweet on Sunday, April 29, over the newspaper's report that North Korea pledged to give up its nuclear weapons if the US decided against invading it.

"Headline: "Kim Prepared to Cede Nuclear Weapons if U.S. Pledges Not to Invade" - from the Failing New York Times. Also, will shut down Nuclear Test Site in May," Trump tweeted.
According to the NYT report published from Seoul, South Korea, the Moon Jae-in government confirmed on Sunday that North's leader Kim Jong-un had told its president about his condition to quit the race for nuclear armament. The two met at a historic summit on April 27 at the truce village of Punmunjeom on April 27 - an event which happened first time in 11 years and saw a North Korean leader stepping into the South for the first time since the ceasefire in the Korean War in 1953.
"In a confidence-building gesture ahead of a proposed summit meeting with President Trump, a suddenly loquacious and conciliatory Mr. Kim also said he would invite experts and journalists from South Korea and the United States to watch the shutdown next month of his country's only known underground nuclear test site," the NYT reported.
Trump took on this point and mocked NYT as "Failing" as he meant the North was anyhow shutting its nuclear test site in May.
