POTUS Launches $5 Million 'Trump Card' Visa Programme Offering Path To US Citizenship

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump launched a waitlist website for a new visa initiative titled the Trump Card.

This programme aims to offer permanent residency in the United States to foreign nationals who are prepared to invest $5 million in the country.

Interested individuals can register via the official website, trumpcard.gov.

"FOR FIVE MILLION $DOLLARS, THE TRUMP CARD IS COMING!" Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

He added, "Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World."

The website features a glossy, gold-coloured card emblazoned with an image of Donald Trump and the name "The Trump Card".

What is the Trump Card?

Originally announced in February, the Trump Card programme offers a pathway for wealthy foreign nationals to obtain permanent residency - and ultimately citizenship - in the United States, through a $5 million investment.

Benefits of Trump Card

The Trump Card is designed to offer similar privileges to those of a green card and a route to full citizenship.

Explaining the benefits of this initiative, Trump previously stated: "We're going to be putting a price on that card of about $5 million and that's going to give you green card privileges, plus it's going to be a route to citizenship." He added, "wealthy people will be coming into our country by buying this card."

How to Apply for Trump Card

Here's how to join the Trump Card wait list:

Step 1: Go to the official Trump Card website - trumpcard.gov.

Step 2: On the homepage, applicants will be asked to provide details including their name, region, whether applying as an individual or on behalf of a business, email address, and whether the residency request is for themselves, a spouse, family members, or others.

Step 3: Click 'Submit' after entering all required information.

Step 4: A six-digit verification code will be sent to the registered email address. This code is valid for ten minutes only.

Step 5: Enter the code on the website and click 'Submit'.

Upon completion, applicants will receive a message that reads:
"Your Journey Begins. You'll be the first to hear when access opens."
